- Extracts from the ASPCA 2008-2009 Tax Returns.
- Documents downloaded from the ASPCA Website, which include 64 self-incriminating quotes.
- Documents maintained by State Governments that list the Registered Lobbyists of the ASPCA.
- Extracts from Documents maintained by the Missouri Ethics Commission that explicitly establish that the ASPCA “directly” contributed $582,241.39 to the Proposition B State Ballot Initiative Campaign in Missouri. (NOTE: If the ASPCA directly contributed $582,241.39 in but one State in 2010, “inquiring minds” within the IRS may begin to wonder how much more was directly and indirectly spent on “Lobbying” by the ASPCA in the other 49 States and in Washington DC!!!!!)
- A Press Release from the State Humane Association of California which announced that it had “filed a complaint with the Office of the (California) Attorney General against the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA). The complaint alleges that ASPCA’s unfair and deceptive fundraising practices harm local humane societies and SPCAs . . . (and that) Ever since the ASPCA began to aggressively fundraise several years ago, humane societies throughout the country have suffered.”
- Jaw-Dropping Extracts from a Lawsuit that was filed last year by the Feld Corporation, the Parent Company of the Ringling Brothers Circus. That Lawsuit named not only the Humane Society of the U.S. (HSUS) as a defendant, but it also named the ASPCA as a defendant. This is the Lawsuit that alleged that HSUS AND THE ASPCA VIOLATED THE RACKETEER INFLUENCED CORRUPT ORGANIZATIONS (RICO) ACT; THAT THE DEFENDANTS CONSPIRED TO CONDUCT THE AFFAIRS OF THE ENTERPRISE THROUGH A PATTERN OF RACKETEERING ACTIVITY; WHICH ACTIVITY INCLUDED MONEY LAUNDERING, OBSTRUCTION OF JUSTICE, MAIL FRAUD, WIRE FRAUD, CONSPIRACY TO HARM A BUSINESS AND A FUNDRAISER HELD IN FURTHERANCE OF THE SCHEMES.
When the IRS reads the 64 quotes from the Documents downloaded from the ASPCA Website, those documents should lead the IRS to the inescapable conclusion that the ASPCA has become “joined at the hip” with the HSUS!!!! Seventeen of the most illustrative and damning quotes include:
- “The ASPCA . . . today announced the appointment of Nancy Perry to the “new position of senior vice president of Government Relations.”
- Ms. Perry will be “responsible for the overall strategic and tactical direction of the ASPCA’s legislative efforts and public policy at the local, state, and federal government levels.”
- “Ms. Perry joins the ASPCA from the Humane Society of the United States (HSUS) where she served as vice president of Government Affairs and oversaw HSUS’s state and federal legislative efforts, including ballot measure campaigns and nationwide grassroots activities. . . Nancy has also been a key architect and leader of more than 20 successful state ballot initiative measures.”
- “ASPCA attorneys and staff also work with legislators to write, sponsor, support and advocate for animal-friendly legislation.”
- “ASPCA staff works to pass laws on the state and federal level. . . . . In 2006, this team helped get 42 bills passed, 41 bills signed into law, and 11 bills defeated around the United States.”
- “Tuesday was an historic day in America in more ways than one. With resounding victories for California’s Prop 2 and Massachusetts’s Ballot Question 3.”
- “The ASPCA wishes to thank our supporters all over the country for helping us advocate for Proposition B to your friends and family in Missouri.”
- “The ASPCA is also joining other animal welfare groups in actively supporting the Voter Protection Act, a proposed constitutional amendment to require a three – fourths vote in both houses of the legislature . . . in order to repeal or amend any citizen-passed initiative in Missouri.”
- “The ASPCA implores all of our supporters to contact everyone you know in Missouri; ask them to call Governor Nixon to urge him to veto SB 113.”
- “Action Needed Now” concerned two Federal Bills and 16 Bills pending in State Legislatures in 13 different States.
- “In-depth background information on the animal issues the ASPCA’s lobbyists most often tackle.”
- “Lobbying 101.”
- “Check out our multi-part primer on lobbying for animals at any government level.”
- “Working with Your Elected Officials. Ready to dive into the world of political lobbying? Read this first!”
- “By joining the ASPCA Advocacy Brigade, you can be a part of the legislative process
- “Service provided by the ASPCA that allows you to “click and send” communications to your lawmakers on proposed legislation affecting animals.
- “Please email your representative in the U.S. House today and ask him or her to support and cosponsor the PUPS Act! To learn more about this issue, please visit www.aspca.org/puppymills.”

ReplyDeleteWe just won against ASPCA, in suit against expense cost incurred during Caboodle Ranch raid in February 2012.
Good point Pavla, too bad you can't post the copy of their expense sheet they submitted. I bet the people here would get a laugh out of all the double entries and padding on it.
DeleteIts great news Pavla.at last the ASPCA are being shown for what they are,,now lets not forget PETA,,,their in this up to their eyes, and Id like nothing more than to see them dragged down along with the ASPCA,,
DeleteWe can Perry, cant recall which CR page I saw it on!
ReplyDeletePerry is one of those Anti people, who is against something before he is for it. Typical whiny Romney lost person
ReplyDeleteWell john !!!!! read the expenses ASPCA put in for stealing the caboodle cats.they even put in for `transport/vets bills/accommodation (for them selves) hire cars,,The list is endless,So don't butt in where you don't know the facts, were behind Caboodle 100% and will stay alongside Craig till hes vindicated and gets back his own animals,as well as clearing his name,,I just hope PETA is reading this because they were in on the raid as well.
DeleteOn the contrary, Perry Taylor is a man of endless commitment to Caboodle cats, indeed all cats. The ASPCA bills re: Caboodle were extortionate. John's political drivel is sophomoric. HSUS and ASPCA have outlived their stated missions and their tax exempt status should have been revoked decades ago.
